I am pleased to welcome you to my new practice for thyroid, hormone management, and holistic medicine in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee. My name is Dr. Scarlett Lewitschnig, a specialist in nuclear medicine with a focus on thyroid, hormone management, and holistic medicine.
I am a private physician
As a private physician, I do not have a contract with health insurance companies, meaning you will initially have to pay my invoices yourself. We can submit your invoice to your public austrian insurance company, so that you can receive a partial reimbursement depending on the diagnosis, services provided, and your individual circumstances.
As a private physician, I have the opportunity to dedicate as much time as you need. Shorter notice and more flexible appointment scheduling are also possible. If you keep your appointment, you will generally not experience any waiting time.

To keep our hormone levels balanced, targeted support is sometimes necessary.
This support ranges from analyzing the thyroid gland, the largest hormone gland, to counseling for menopausal symptoms and individualized therapies for testosterone deficiency.
Your expert for holistic health & beauty
Sometimes we need a little help to feel comfortable in our own skin.
This help ranges from nutritional advice and skincare tips to minimally invasive therapies such as treatments with PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma), Profhilo®, and Botox (botulinum toxin).
Procedure in the doctor’s office
If you are coming for a thyroid examination, please fill out a questionnaire beforehand. Please also refrain from taking any thyroid medication on the day of the examination. During the consultation, I will first take your medical history, followed by an ultrasound examination of your thyroid.
Depending on your medical history and ultrasound findings, I will order the necessary lab tests. I will discuss the ultrasound results with you at the end of the consultation. You will receive the report, including the lab results, digitally in your patient portal.
When you come for hormone management, the procedure in the doctor’s office is identical.
If you are coming for a cosmetic procedure, you will receive a medical history and information sheet via email beforehand, which you should complete and bring with you. Please come to your appointment without makeup.
