PRP is a therapy using the patient\u2019s own blood, which is spun in the centrifuge to separate the plasma, growth factors and platelets. The plasma is then used to reinject. Those natural factors are the ideal composition for anti-ageing, dark under eye circles, wrinkles and hair loss. Hair loss is a complex issue and can be genetic, hormonal, stress and nutrition related. It is important to get a detailed history, check for deficiencies, especially iron and zinc and do thyroid function tests including thyroid antibodies. Checking the hormones might be useful.
\nIt is important to use a gentle shampoo free from irritating substances such as SLS or essential oils. This therapy needs patience. There is a lot of evidence behind platelet rich plasma. The hair follicle gets stimulated by the growth factors in the blood, hair loss is reduced and hair growth stimulated. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

PRP is indicated for androgenetic hair loss affecting men on the forehead and back of head and women in the area of the parting. Studies have also confirmed the benefits of PRP following hair transplant. To achieve optimal results, I recommend 3 treatments a month apart and thereafter every 6 months.
\nThe patient needs to attend the appointment with freshly washed hair and without hair products. It is recommended to not wash the hair for 48 hours following the treatment.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

PRP for the skin<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>

This is a very gentle, effective therapy using regeneration processes of the skin. It is used to improve skin quality in the face, neck and chest and hands. Indications include wrinkles, pigmentation, dark under eye circles and uneven skin tone. It is best used in combination with micro needling to achieve the best results, which are natural looking and long lasting. The skin can be red and irritated following the procedure, which has usually significantly improved by the following day. A mask and healing ointment are put on the skin after the treatment. This is a therapy which can be started in your thirties as a preventative measure additionally to daily sun protection and targeted skin care.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

When you start early, you need a treatment once or twice a year. When you have visible signs of ageing, I recommend to start with three sessions a month apart and every 6 months thereafter. If there is a lot of sun damage it can be combined with a medical peeling to quickly lift some of the damage.
